halfbloodly. I can also be found on AIM as mysterytourist.
■ BACKTAGGING: I'm happy to! Though if we've been backtagging the same thread for months, I may eventually have to ask you to wrap it up in order to keep CR consistent.
■ THREADHOPPING: Please do, I encourage that.
■ FOURTHWALLING: Go ahead, it won't bother him. It may make him think you're not all there, though.
■ ACTION VS PROSE: I'll do either, but I would prefer action if pushed.
■ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Please warn me first if you're going to talk about either excessive gore/body horror/torture, or animal cruelty. Other than that, I'm cool with most things.

■ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Go ahead - if he doesn't like it, he won't be slow about letting you know! He tends to be tactile with his friends.
■ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Sure! But please plot it out with me first. He won't hesitate to fight back and could be goaded into striking first if you annoyed him enough. He is naturally quite violent - he'll threaten to kill you if you hurt his friends, he'll be reactive to challenges and depending on how angry it's made him, he may find it hard to back down. If he's not angry he's a lot more reasonable. If he is, he'll act before he thinks, and it could as easily get him in trouble as you!
■ RELATIONSHIPS: He'll be friendly as a default unless he has a reason to dislike you. If you become close to him he will literally defend you with his life. Flirtation is fine - he'll be courteous about it, unless he dislikes you. Anything more romantic than that isn't going to happen, unless you happen to be Constance, his wife. As a general rule, he is loyal and highly protective towards his friends, and if they're hurt he won't stop until he avenges them. He tends to hold grudges against people that he perceives have 'wronged' him, or someone he cares about.
■ MENTAL INFORMATION: He has no telepathic resistance of any kind, so if you're psychic, he'll be easy to infiltrate. What you'll get from him is a very clear sense of honour and duty, and a strong belief in loyalty and chivalry. Justice is important to him, but he has a vengeful spirit and he's protective by nature. He has a tendency to follow his heart rather than his head, meaning that his temper can get him in trouble. He's very brave and confident, but also reckless and kind of arrogant. If you need anything more specific than that, please ask!
■ MEDICAL INFORMATION: No known medical problems. He's usually in good physical condition, very athletic and fit. He has a small scar from a blade on his right cheekbone, and another caused by a pistol shot to his left rib cage. His reckless approach to battle often leads to him picking up minor injuries like cuts, bruises and the occasional cracked rib after a fight.
In-Game Powers
One of d'Artagnan's Porter-given powers is Empathic Inducement. What this means is that he is able to induce the emotions that he is feeling on anyone that is close to him. In theory, he can induce any emotion - so he could promote a feeling of happiness when a person is sad, he could project a sense of calm when they were panicking, and so on. When he gets angry (which is often, especially during a fight), he will tend to radiate it, which in theory will temporarily rouse the anger of those around him as well.
That could mean you, if you'd like it to.
This power has the following limitations:
Regardless of all of this, I will always plot it out with you before having him use his power in a thread!
So, given all of that! I would be grateful if you could fill in the following form:
Thank you for taking the time to answer! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here.

That could mean you, if you'd like it to.
This power has the following limitations:
- It is active rather than passive; it does not work unless d'Artagnan purposely uses it. Examples of when he might do this would be during battle - he could project anger to give strength and courage to his allies, or project fear onto his enemies. He may also use it to try and calm down someone who was panicked or afraid. However, he needs to be doing it deliberately, he won't be projecting angry thoughts all the time.
- D'Artagnan will have personal limitations on how much he is willing to use this power - he would consider it morally wrong to influence someone without a good reason, so he would not use it lightly.
- Some characters may be naturally resistant, while others may be naturally susceptible; it's up to you how much you want your characters to be affected, if at all.
- The effects are temporary. The exact length of time any one emotional 'push' would last would be up to you, but the effects should wear off quickly once d'Artagnan stops actively using the power.
- D'Artagnan cannot feel what your character feels, or read their emotions or thoughts in any respect. Rather, he is able to empathically radiate emotion, which will induce that emotion in other people. He's not reading or manipulating your own feelings - he's giving you some of his own.
- He will not be able to affect anyone who is resistant to psychic or empathic abilities. He would have no way to 'break' a mental shield.
Regardless of all of this, I will always plot it out with you before having him use his power in a thread!
So, given all of that! I would be grateful if you could fill in the following form:

Which character(s) do you play? Avinin Anasek |
Can d'Artagnan induce emotions in your character(s)? Avinin's got a solid mental shield, due to goblin thinking being really weird (aka he's too nuts)
Under what circumstances would you want this power to affect your character(s)? N/A
Anything else? If someone tried to connect to Avinin's goblin-brain telepathically, they'd be in for a headache due to the why of his shield--but idk if that'd apply to reaching out with ~feelings~ rather than brainwaves, so ...idk?
no subject
Noted, thank you! If his shield is solid, I think he would rebuff d'Artagnan automatically - he'd never get as far as experiencing goblin-thoughts!

Which character(s) do you play? Matthew Lin, secretly Abduxel |
Can d'Artagnan induce emotions in your character(s)? Yes
Under what circumstances would you want this power to affect your character(s)? I don't have any particular ideas in mind since it really depends how much / what kind of CR they develop. But I am open to it! TBH you don't even need to bother asking with me, though you can if you want to, I'm a fan of just flying by the seat of my pants with RP. That said, Abduxel is a demon, and will absolutely retaliate in mean demonic ways if he was made to feel threatened somehow! On that note he has lots of anger to provoke & can do creepy and mean things with it.
Anything else? Nope.

Which character(s) do you play? Max |
Can d'Artagnan induce emotions in your character(s)? Yes to Max; Baymax will not feel it as strongly but could be slightly influenced.
Under what circumstances would you want this power to affect your character(s)? We'll see where the CR takes us if it ever comes up :D
Anything else? so Max is a giant literature nerd, and he's probably read the Three Musketeers. Is fourthwalling all right? (I say, having never read the book myself)
no subject
Fourthwalling is fine. It won't bother d'Artagnan, he'll just think it's strange. He may get wary/paranoid if you know a lot of detail, but in general, he'd just be pleased anyone remembered enough about his friends' exploits to record them.

Can d'Artagnan induce emotions in your character(s)? YES!!!
Under what circumstances would you want this power to affect your character(s)? Anything and everything. Any great moment of sudden emotional explosion.
Anything else? Just that Drew, being a werewolf, is already prone to reacting quickly w/ emotions so I imagine this would be such an easy power to use on him!

Which character(s) do you play? Charles Xavier |
Can d'Artagnan induce emotions in your character(s)? He might be able to surprise him with them, at least once but once Charles figured it out, he would most likely block him. But he'd also be fascinated with D'Art's ability and be interested to talk to him about it. Ethics discussion anyone?
Under what circumstances would you want this power to affect your character(s)? At this point in canon, Charles is swinging to his more level headed, calm zen like personality. Still, if he started to back slide towards depression, having a helping hand that's not alcohol or Hank's drug could be useful.
Anything else? <333
no subject
Okay, thank you!
Honestly ethics is the main reason d'Artagnan doesn't use this power often. He has A Problem with using it on anyone, and only tends to do so if they're in danger and he's trying to calm them down, etc. But if Charles needed that kind of help, we could definitely plot around it!
no subject
Honestly, I think Charles and D'Art could be a fun CR potential and I'm looking forward to them interacting. Also I just love your D'Art so there is that.
