God, a witch's blood? This is everything the Church would have burned at the stake in his world. Suddenly, he's in no doubt about what she means by hunters. He knows far less what he thinks about it. He should think they're all monsters. That's the automatic thing.

Except that he knows Hayley. She's his friend. She's been his friend all these months. Does this really change what he thinks about her?

What is the honourable thing to do, to side with what he knows others would say, or to trust his friend?

The thing is, d'Artagnan's friends always come first. Always.
