I think Antiva is our Spain.
I wouldn't want to be at war with them.
Too many assassins.
And it depends on how you mean war. Ferelden never picked a fight with them, apart from existing.
The Orlesian nobility have this odd notion that filthy doglords shouldn't be allowed to rule themselves.

Then someone should replace him.

[ Just imagine how poorly it would go, if Hawke ever met d'Artagnan's king. Just imagine. ]

They did.
Turned out our own royal family managed to survive and rallied our people to throw the Orlesians out.
I grew up in the generation after that.
Nice and peaceful for all of
20 years or so?

Has he actually done anything to deserve your death?
Just curious.

[ While Hawke may have kicked off the biggest and bloodiest revolution in Thedosian history, a little. ]

After that came the Blight.
But, really, if you want a history lesson, it might be easier to ask in person.
whathawksdo: (no worries everything is dandy now.)

This makes it funny that you used to think I was a soldier.
Just a little.
I don't mind if it's WORLD history, though.
You could ask anyone from Thedas about that stuff.
whathawksdo: (and here we go again.)

If you want to know those stories, hope the insufferable man who wrote an entire book on them shows up.
I'm sure he puts a far more cheerful spin on it all.
whathawksdo: (i like helping people and killing people)

If not cheerful, then at least more dragon fights than reality.
But yes, in person.
