What do you mean, where? On the lips, if you're in love. On the cheek if you're friends, or family. And I don't know, it's just a way of greeting the new year. In France we kiss to say hello, anyway.

You need to stop telling me things about France that remind me of Orlais.
No one ever warned me that they did that, but let me tell you, that was one narrowly avoided international incident of many.

And when you're Fereldan, you tend to be raised to dislike Orlais.
That isn't to say I hate them all.
Most of my business partners were Orlesian, albeit ones acclimated to the Free Marches.

So, why are you raised to dislike it? Are you enemies? I suppose if Fereldan is your world's version of Spain, I'd understand.

Did France brutally conquer and occupy Spain for nearly 80 years?

No. But we're at war with them.

That's what happened to your country?

I think Antiva is our Spain.
I wouldn't want to be at war with them.
Too many assassins.
And it depends on how you mean war. Ferelden never picked a fight with them, apart from existing.
The Orlesian nobility have this odd notion that filthy doglords shouldn't be allowed to rule themselves.

I'm sorry for your trouble, then. I couldn't discount that France would pursue interests abroad. In fact I'm sure the King would like to, but our focus for the moment is on Spain.
