[ She's not apologizing!! She ffolds her arms over her chest and glares at him. ]

You're the one climbing in Jack's ball.

Are you all better, by the way?

[ That makes him halt for a second.

Still rolling with it, though. He holds up a hand. ]

No, no no. I already got into it, which is why I'm better.

The white stuff was disgusting, just so that you know.

I got that message.

It was extremely uncomfortable. Just like this moment. Just like this day.

[mousquetaire]

[ And, back to laughing again. ]

I'm sorry. This is terrible, I shouldn't--

Come on. You don't find it the slightest bit funny?

[solkoroleva]

Yes.

But that doesn't make you stop laughing. [ She shoves him lightly. ]

[mousquetaire]

[ He manages to restrain himself to a grin.

Which is still directed right at her. Sorry. ]

Who is Bunny, anyway? One of the Reds?

[solkoroleva]

He is. [ She finally smiles, relenting some of her annoyance at him. The punching helped. ]

He's close to Kotetsu.

[mousquetaire]

Oh.

[ A small pause. ]

Are you talking about Barnaby? I see them together all the time.

[solkoroleva]

I was talking about them, yes.

They're kind of cute, aren't that?

[mousquetaire]

[ He frowns, not sure what she means by that at first. Then understanding lights his eyes. ]

Oh. I didn't realise they were together.

[ Leaning back, d'Artagnan shakes his head, smiling a little wryly. ]

I just found out about Garrus and Noh-Varr, too. There's a lot of romance in the air at the moment, it seems.

[solkoroleva]

[ Alina laughs at his reaction. ]

They're not. But they will be. [ She knows they will. They might as well be already. ]

I think they've been trying not to be too braggy about it. There is a lot of love in Neheda, though.

[mousquetaire]

[ His smile widens, and a brow lifts at her. ]

I suppose you would know best of all. They're friends of yours?

Kotetsu and...Bunny. [ A pause. ] I'm sorry, there's no way I can call him that.

[solkoroleva]

[ She nods her head. ] Remember that mission I went on in Sector R? They were there. I think that's really where we started to be good friends... [ Where all of it really began.

But he talks of Bunny and she can't help but laugh. ]

Why not? He answers to it.

[mousquetaire]

[ He looks dubious, but also close to laughing again. Barnaby had come across as so serious to him. And respectable.

And he answers to Bunny? ]

Does he really? I can't imagine anyone calling anyone that outside of the bedroom.

[ A glance. ] If that's where it started, I don't need to know.

[solkoroleva]

[ Her cheeks go red at the mention of calling anyone that in the bedroom.

Or that it might have been that way for Bunny. ]

I don't know the origin of the name!

Now I don't want to ever ask...

[mousquetaire]

[ His eyebrows are examining her again. ]

You mean you never asked?

I'm going to ask Kotetsu. I work with him now.

[solkoroleva]

You can ask him. And tell me the answer if it's not something to do with the bedroom.

[ She shakes her head. ]

I don't want to know if it is from the bedroom. You can keep that to yourself.

[mousquetaire]

[ He grins at her. He's so sorry, Alina. Your awkwardness now is adorable. ]

Are you sure?

You were already talking about his balls.

[solkoroleva]

[ Guess what.

You're getting punched again while she glares at him. ]

[mousquetaire]

[ Which starts him laughing again, even while he holds his hands up to fend off her punches. ]

All right, all right! I'm sorry.

I'll stop teasing. I promise.

[solkoroleva]

Better. [ She huffs as she golds her arms and turns away.

Koroleva has mostly been resting quietly, but at this she gets up to come over and see what they're doing. ]

[mousquetaire]

[ D'Artagnan reaches out his hand for Koroleva, assuming that she wants to be petted. He doesn't mind. He's missed her these last few days, too. ]

Good.

[ He's quiet for a moment, just playing with the cat. Then, thinking that he probably won't get a better opportunity (that he hasn't already squandered, anyway), he glances at Alina. ]

I kissed Hanna.

[ Looking away again. ]

On Selena. I meant to tell you before, but things...got busy.

[solkoroleva]

[ Koroleva nudges against d'Artagnan's hand. Her color is a softer color. Not intense, but not so dull.

But when he finishes his confession her color suddenly goes duller. Koroleva nudges a little more. ]

Oh. [ Alina says, a little more softly than she means to. For a second, she goes cold inside. There's this ache in her that she knows she bears no right to. Her fingers bunch over the skirt of her dress.

Her heart feels clenched in her chest as she finally forces out a soft smile despite her calmed breathing to control the reaction in her. ]

Romance really is in the air.

I've been wondering when you'd find someone yourself. About time. [ She gives a slightly awkward laugh as she looks over thataway. Suddenly that half of the room is so much more interesting. ]

[mousquetaire]

[ He blinks at Koroleva's colour, remembering how it had brightened when Alina had blushed, before. He winces, and looks over at her.

And then of course she says that, and he winces for a different reason altogether. He rubs Koroleva's neck, encouraging her closer. ]

Please, don't say that.

It was a kiss, we haven't--

[ He lets out a breath. ]

It's more complicated than that, for me. I just thought I should tell you, in case Hanna is ever here, and it surprises you.

[solkoroleva]

[ Deep breaths. she can't get upset over something so foolish. He was never hers. She's engaged to someone else. She has no reason to be upset. And she definitely can't let him see it.

Koroleva presses her head into his hand and Alina finally turns back, her looks softening. Under control.

Never let them see you're human. ]

I just want you to be happy. Whatever that takes for it to happen.
