So about your friend Athos...

[ Athos doesn't look for him during the day. He spends most of it cleaning blood from the rovers and taking Korol as far from camp to hunt as possible. But when it edges into lateness and his exhaustion begins to take hold, then he's heading for his friend's residence.
When d'Artagnan stumbles back, Athos is leant against the rover. Korol sits at his heel and allows himself to be petted with a slow, distracted pace. The pair of them look up when footsteps approach and Athos doesn't speak for a moment, too busy checking him over with his eyes for sign of injury.
When he does, his voice is a low drawl. ] I'm wounded. You didn't invite me.

[ He'd been tempted to not tell either of them at all. He knows they'd only worry. But Athos can imagine what sort of madness they'd get into if they found him missing and had no one to tell them where he'd gone. So he leaves it until the very last minute to message both d'Artagnan and Aramis, the ebb of guilt flowing more freely in his chest now more than ever. He doesn't like thinking of himself as a coward. ]

I'm going offline for twenty-four hours. I won't be able to answer either of you. Stay out of trouble and keep each other safe. If you need help, go to Sturmhond.

day 41 ; like super late, the latest, this is the last thing he is doing that day
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
[ He's exhausted but still his feet take him to d'Artagnan's rover with the ease of a well trod path. He's not sure why, but he wants to see him. After all his recent mistakes he'd like to atone in simply checking up on him and making sure he's still in one piece. As regularly and unobtrusively as time will allow.
Considering the lateness of the hour, Athos doesn't really expect to find his friend sitting outside with a fluffy ... rabbit creature. Bizarrely enough it's the strangest sight of the day and Athos cannot help the way his voice rolls with a droll wit. ] I see you've acquired a pet. Has Koroleva has left you broody?
[ Like a little housewife, stg.
Athos doesn't wait for an answer though, narrowing his eyes and moving on, using his sternest voice. ] You should be sleeping. Those ribs will not heal if you don't let them.

Sorry to trouble you. I wonder if you could do something for me.
[He's been sitting on his rover roof, now, for hours. And he's been watching Ivan's rover for all of that time.]

I was really hoping this would never come up, but I have a doppelganger, and she's showed up on Selena. She looks exactly like me, and will sometimes pretend to be me to mess with my friends.

If you see a woman who looks like me but with shorter, curlier hair, walk the other way. Don't talk to her, don't engage with her, don't do anything to do with her.
FROM: gilbert.elena@cdc.org
Her name is Katherine and she's a complete bitch, she ruins lives and she stole my body and basically she's evil, don't talk to her. Text me if you can't tell which of us it is.
